چکیده
Valorization of side streams offers novel types raw materials to complement or replace synthetic and food-based alternatives in science, increasing profitability decreasing the environmental impacts biorefineries. Lignocellulose biomass contains lignin carbohydrates that are covalently linked into lignin-carbohydrate complexes (LCCs). In fractionation processes, these conventionally considered as waste, which hinders process, they may solubilize aqueous effluents. This study presents how LCCs, derived from pulp mill effluent, can be turned valuable biopolymers for industrial polymer film applications. Free-standing composite films containing hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) LCCs with varying molar mass, charge density lignin/hemicellulose ratio were prepared effect LCC amount on mechanical properties oxygen permeability. Increasing content increased yield point Young’s modulus films. Breaking strain measurements revealed a non-linear correlation concentration samples higher than hemicellulose content. The addition enhanced barrier HEC significantly even at high relative humidity. present research demonstrates currently underutilized fraction biorefinery stream has potential valorized biopolymer applications, example paper board packaging.

Extraction of Hemicellulose and Lignin from Sugarcane Bagasse for Biopolymer Films: Green Process
A hemicellulose is any of several heteropolymers , such as arabinoxylans, present along with cellulose in almost all plant cell walls. Hemicellulose has a random, amorphous structure with little strength. It is easily hydrolyzed by dilute acid or base as well as myriad hemicellulase enzymes. In this study, lignin and hemicellulose was extracted from sugarcane bagasse using the ammonium hydrolys...
متن کاملLignin Isolation from Pulp
Several different enzymatic, chemical and mechanical methods have been developed for the isolation of lignin from wood and pulp. However, due to the heterogeneous nature of wood and pulp fibers and the heterogeneity that exists between individual fibers, no method is currently available for the quantitative isolation of native or residual lignin without the risk of structural changes during the...
متن کاملAnalysis of side population cells derived from dental pulp tissue
AIM To investigate the characteristics of side population (SP) cells derived from the dental pulp of young and aged rats. METHODOLOGY Maxillary and mandibular incisors were extracted from 5-week-old (young) rats and 60- to 80-week-old (aged) rats. Coronal pulp tissue was removed mechanically, and single-cell suspensions were prepared using collagenase and dispase. Cells were stained with Hoec...

In this work, a novel thinner derived from natural botany Chinese Larch Tree was obtained by combination lignin with phenol using H2O2 as oxidant and the acting efficiency of lignosulfonate in the drilling fluids is greatly enhanced after oxidation with H2O2. Both the chemical structure and the adsorptive ability of the oxidation...
متن کاملRemoval of lipophilic extractives from paper pulp by laccase and lignin-derived phenols as natural mediators.
In this paper, we show for the first time that lignin-derived phenols can act as laccase mediators for the removal of lipophilic compounds from paper pulp. These natural mediators represent an alternative to synthetic mediators, such as 1-hydroxybenzotriazole (HBT), that cause some economic and environmental concerns. Unbleached kraft pulp from eucalypt wood, which contained free and conjugated...
